Everything you need to know.
Haven is your family's operating system — tasks, documents, finances, and reminders, all in one place. Use it from the web, your phone, or the messaging apps you already have (Telegram, SMS, Web AI chat).
What is Haven?
Haven is a family coordination platform built for busy households. Every task has an owner, a deadline, and a visible status. Overdue tasks surface in your daily digest. Nothing falls through the cracks.
You can interact with Haven from three places:
- Web — the board, task pages, documents, finance, and settings at heyhavens.com (works on desktop and mobile)
- Telegram — message the Haven bot to create tasks, close tasks, log expenses, and more
- SMS — same capabilities as Telegram, via text message
- Web AI chat — in-browser chat panel on the board page (no app install needed)
Create your family
Haven is channel-first. You create your family by messaging the Haven bot. There is no web sign-up. Pick the channel you want to use:
Open Telegram, search @HeyHavenBot (or open t.me/HeyHavenBot), and send any message to start.
Text anything to +1 (518) 628-2189 from the phone you want to use.
Open LINE, search the Haven official account (ID: @263ndgtw), add it, and send any message.
Coming soon. WhatsApp onboarding is built and waiting on Meta Business Account approval. Use Telegram, SMS, or LINE in the meantime.
Coming soon. WeChat onboarding is built and waiting on Tencent Service Account review. Use Telegram, SMS, or LINE in the meantime.
Then, on whichever channel you picked:
Invite members
Haven works best when the whole household is on it. Invite anyone you share responsibilities with.
invite sarah@example.com
(Or go to Settings, Family, Invite member on the web.)
Switch channel
Each member has exactly one messaging channel. To switch, you must initiate from the target channel — not the one you're currently on.
Coming soon. Once WhatsApp linking is approved by Meta, switching follows the same pattern: message Haven on WhatsApp, pick option 3, verify your email.
Coming soon. Once WeChat is approved by Tencent, switching follows the same pattern: scan the QR code or message the official account, pick option 3, verify your email.
Talk to Haven
Type — or speak — what you want. Haven parses plain English; there is no syntax to learn. The same phrases work on every channel.
- "add buy groceries by friday, assign sarah"
- "what's overdue?"
- "close the dentist task"
- "reassign laundry to me"
- "find the lease"
- "save the attached photo as wifi info"
- "rename it to school calendar"
- "what did we spend on groceries this month?"
- "show last month's transactions"
- "list members"
- "what's open?"
- "who's overloaded?"
Structured flows
Some operations need back-and-forth — multiple inputs, attachments, or confirmation. Type a keyword to enter a flow. Type done to exit.
| Keyword | What happens |
|---|---|
| expense / transaction | Log expenses one-by-one ("Apr 11 A&W $16.48") or attach receipt screenshots. done imports them all. |
| template / recurring | Build a recurring task — title, frequency, days, default time, assignee. |
| invite | Send a family-join invitation by email. |
| member | Edit a member's name, email, timezone, or messaging channel. |
| family | Edit family name, currency, location, AI context, or retention. |
| notification / notifications | Edit your digest, quiet hours, reminder offsets, and preferred channel. |
| switch / channel | Move your account to a new messaging channel. |
| report | File a bug report, optionally with a screenshot. |

Tips & tricks
Morning check-in
Message "list" each morning. 10 seconds to know exactly what everyone is handling.
One task, one owner
Never leave a task unassigned. Even "assign me" is better than nothing.
Template everything recurring
Weekly groceries, monthly bills, annual renewals — template them all.
Star your irreplaceables
Passport scans, insurance policies — star them so they're never auto-deleted.
Always set a deadline
A task without a deadline is a wish. Deadlines drive the daily digest and reminders.
Use structured flows
Type "expense", "invite", or "family" for guided multi-step conversations.
